Abstract文章認為，兩种文字在表述語音的方式上具有一些相同之處﹕它們的基本元音字母都由字素組合而成﹔出現于詞首的元音都帶一個特殊符號─字冠﹔以零形式表示各自的一個不同元音。所以出現這种倩況，可能直接或間接与薩班‧貢噶堅贊有關，是其所為或影響所致。
