Abstract有明一代鑒於元代對宗教特別是佛教的法治管理的寬緩造成的後果，在佛教僧官的設置與管理、寺院的管理、僧侶的管理等各方面制定了嚴格的法律法規。然而，明王朝的以壓制為主的宗教法律制度並沒有達到預期的效果。一方面，佛教在這種壓制下失去了其特有的義理活力，而走向以民間迷信為神靈信仰﹔另一方面，依附於佛教的各種民間宗教在明中後期異常活躍並成為最後推翻明朝的有生力量。明朝的宗教法制之得失對今天如何處理法律與宗教信仰的關係仍有重要意義。
