Abstract | The following short essay is a slightly edited English rendition of a talk presented in December 2009 at an international conference on 『東アジアの幸福 感』 (Views of Happiness in Eastern Asia), held at Okayama University and attended by scholars from China, Korea, and Japan. It is an attempt to draw the normative ideal of the fullness of happiness a step closer to the morality of everyday life. |
