Abstract | 羅漢是梵語Arhat的音譯簡稱,意譯有三種含義:一殺賊,意思是殺盡一切煩惱之賊;二應供,意思是接受人天供養;三不生,不再受輪迴之苦。羅漢本為佛教小乘追求的終極目標,但是在釋迦牟尼佛的規勸和鼓勵下,羅漢們紛紛回小向大,「住世不涅」,幫助維護大乘佛教,於是在大乘佛教里也有了他們新的地位和作為。羅漢的形象都是出家比丘相,頭部無須發,身著袈裟,全身無任何裝飾,或坐或立,栩栩如生,是藏傳佛教各類造像中最為樸實無華的藝術形象。
The differences between the images of Arhan worshipped by Tibetan Buddhism and that of Arhan worshipped by Han Buddhism are given in this paper. |
