Abstract筆者撰寫本文的動機,希望藉由對賢首宗四法界的事事無礙法界的探討,追溯事事無礙觀形成的源由及影響,進一步釐清「四法界」為澄觀新創?法界觀之「事事無礙法界」闕了慧苑將該如何串聯? 論述中發現唐賢首宗詮釋「《華嚴經》重重無盡、主伴圓融、相攝相入、無礙自在」,依傳統傳承杜順、智儼、法藏、慧苑、澄觀、宗密一脈相承,「法界觀」則漸進成型。首先澄觀於《華嚴法界玄鏡》指出「《法界觀門》真空觀、理事無礙觀、周偏含容觀三重,杜順述」,並立事、理、理事無礙、事事無礙,四法界。法藏述《華嚴發菩提心章》則載法界觀門表德五門:真空觀、理事無礙觀、周偏含容觀、色空章十門止觀、理事圓融義。法藏多闡述理事無礙,事事無礙思想隱約見於周偏含容觀,但非「即事事無礙法界」;於《華嚴經義海百門》立有事、理、理事無礙三法界。 慧苑續法藏未竟之新譯《華嚴經》注疏撰成《刊定記》,開宗明義立理事無礙法界、事事無礙法界。「事事無礙法界」同時具足、相即、相在、隱顯、主伴、同體成即、純雜、微細、因陀羅網、具足無盡十門,示「此事、彼事相望,顯事事無礙」,慧苑《刊定記》充份開展「事事無礙法界」思想。 事事無礙觀涵蘊自《法界觀門》之周遍含融觀,慧苑發揮成「此事、彼事」諸體事,事事無礙。澄觀納之與法藏的三法界形成賢首宗首創之四法界。「事事無礙」思想影響了後世的禪、淨等諸宗。本文主要探討慧苑事事無礙思想,並上下廣及賢首諸師及「事事無礙」思想對餘宗之影響。
