Abstract 唐大珠慧海禪師(713?-812?),為馬祖道一之法嗣,六祖之三傳弟子。所著《頓悟人道要門論》,自《嘉興藏》收錄以來,僅日本《卍續藏》及《佛光大藏經》續予收編。坊本則清初及民國初,各有翻印,近世排印本尤多,惟其文字、義理、禪學等訛誤仍在。本文即以檢讀方式,由版本、文義及禪法,逐步檢讀其禪學理論。
《頓悟人道要門論〉係效五千且《最上乘論》以論仿經之作,二書俱本達摩「理人」及「行入」為說,首尾完整,一如經典,堪稱禪論雙璧。於禪宗偏語錄、公案之文獻,實為難得。惟《頓悟人道要門論》引《鼓音聲王經》誤記作《陀羅尼集》,又論「心、意、識」,與唯識學不同。其禪定說,兼明二人說及體用而論,而「妄念不生為禪,坐見本性為定。」之定義,與六祖之說相左,皆值得討論。
大珠禪法,由「二性空」臻「一切處無心」為修行法門,以達六祖「無念為宗」之旨,二性空由第六識切人,為行人之基準。一切處無心則為行人之保任要領。所倡「一切處無心J'涵蓋悟與未悟,皆得依此修行。未悟之人,依此教修,亦不墮惡道,亦禪師提「行人」法門時,對開悟前後,具雙關性之特色。
