| Abstract | 佛教生命倫理學是研究因生命科學（醫學、基因、生化研究……等）所引起的倫理議題，從佛教基本的概念──緣起與慈悲做為思考的起點，進而確定其中的佛教生命倫理內涵及意義。在面對當前生命倫理有關的諸多兩難問題，透過上述研究的初步成果，以期激發出可能的因應與解決之道。為了要使二十一世紀的社會更好，佛教倫理是極為重要的，在佛教教理，充滿了尊重人的精神，及日常倫理的實踐性。佛學是探究人性的學問，從今以後指導人類理念的，不是西洋的思想，而是東方的思想，尤其是佛教的思想。今日佛教的價值，可說正廣為全世界所考量著，而佛教倫理必能為我們提供一個光明的未來。
Buddhism bioethics is an ethics subject, which researches and applies Buddhism principle to ethical issues caused by bioethics (medicine, gene, biochemistry researchand so on).We will take Buddhism's basic concept（the origin principle and the compassion）as the foundation of thoughts, and then confirm the connotation and signifi cance of Buddhism bioethics. When facing various life ethics related dilemma, with the Preliminary a chievement from above research, we can expect to come out with possible solutions. In order to better the 21st century societies, Buddhism ethics is extremely important. Buddhism is fi lled with the spirit of respect others and the fulfi llment of daily ethics. The Buddhist studies the human nature. The one that will govern human's thoughts in the future is Eastern world's thought, Buddhism's thought in particular, not Western world's thought. At the moment, Buddhism's value is widely considered by the world and the Buddhism ethics will be able to provide a bright future for us.
