| Abstract | 佛教在中國二千年，出現了無數的領軍人物，道安、慧遠、羅什、玄奘、法顯、義淨、慧能、道一等等，都是其中的佼佼者，影響後世者極大。迄至當代，虛雲老和尚則是這些領軍人物中最傑出的一位！虛雲老和尚對近現代中國佛教的影響之深，除了太虛大師可與之比肩外，尚無其他人可比。虛雲對中國佛教的貢獻是全面的，也是顯著的，但是我認為他對中國佛教的最大貢獻，還在於培養了後人，使佛法能夠得到繼承，佛教的慧輪才運轉到今天！
