Abstract | Several bronze and stone Buddha figurines preserved in Shaoxing, Shanghai and Japan were usually regarded as works of the Southern Dynasty. However, there were many suspicions through serious discretion for they had some different with those of the Southern and Northern Dynasties. Some were imitated by the latter people according to the old books and some were pieced together with parts of different times. |
