Abstract莫高窟屏風畫是敦煌藝術中十分重要的一部分。它興起於盛唐,經過中唐時期的發展,到了歸義軍時期發展成熟。盛唐後期,變文由中原地區傳入敦煌,到了歸義軍時期已經十分盛行。屏風畫的發展過程中,與敦煌變文逐步形成了比較緊密的關係,尤其表現在創作題材方面。莫高窟屏風畫由於所處石窟中的位置、採光等因素,是不太適合直接配合變文講唱。

The screen painting of Mogao Grottoes is an important part of Dunhuang art. It raised in flourishing period of Tang Dynasty, and matured in Guiyijun period. In the late period of flourishing Tang, Bianwen was introduced from central plains to Dunhuang, and became popular in the Guiyijun period. The development of screen painting had close relation to Dunhuang Bianwen.
