Abstract盛唐時期,敦煌法華造像在敦煌法華信仰與法華思想的影響下,正處于從題材到布局的全方位探索創新時期。第46窟的佛教造像正是這一時代背景下的產物。第46窟充分采用了塑、繪結合的藝術手法,其中的佛教造像主要集中在法華龕、七佛龕及涅槃龕三大佛龕之內。從法華信仰以及修法實踐的角度來看,禮拜七佛可以看作法華修法實踐的一種“前行”方便,而了解大乘涅槃思想有助于深入領會《法華經》所說的諸法實相。本文認為,第46窟三個佛龕造像的布局不是偶然形成的,而是精心設計的結果,它們之間有著內在的關聯,總體上呈現出比較濃郁的法華思想。
