Abstract日僧圓仁用漢文寫的日記《入唐求法巡禮行記》,為研究唐代的社會、經濟、宗教等提供了豐富的史料。日本可以說是對《入唐求法巡禮行記》研究最為興盛之地,不但在佛教史、東洋史方面,而且在日本漢文學史、國語史等各個領域對它都已經進行了卓有成效的研究。

Japanese monk Ennin is the founder of the Japanese Tendai sect. The Record of a Pilgrimage to China in Search of the Law, his four-volumn diary of travels in China offers abundant historical materials for the study of politics, economy and customs in Tang Dynasty. The study of monk Ennin has been flourishing in Japan.
