As Buddhist scriptures, Dunhuang wall paintings, and Dunhuang documents indicate, Buddhist bathing culture involves not only bathing conditions such as methods, necessities and facilities, but also a relation between bathing and health, human communication, seasons, climates, and food and drink. Buddhist discussion on bathing is both comprehensive and scientific, an excellent reference for today’s bathing culture. |
