Abstract魏晉南北朝,中國陷入長時間的南北分裂,戰亂頻仍,民生困苦,佛學大為流行。在魏晉時位居思想界主流的道家玄理,到了南北朝及隋唐卻讓位於佛學,佛學思想發展至禪學已逐漸轉化、融入於中國原本以儒、道思想為主的社會文化當中。隨著禪學思想的融入中國的社會文化中,導致中國歷代的書法藝術受到禪學思想滲透與融合所產生的與禪學有關的書法藝術作品在歷代亦時有所見。書法藝術是中國的國粹,也是中國長久以來特有的書寫形式,在書法史上,書法藝術創作活動大都伴隨著實用的目的。如今隨著時代的進步、書寫工具的改變,已逐漸拋棄了實用性的束縛,走上了純粹藝術之路,讓書法藝術有更大的揮灑空間。
透過此篇研究:禪在書藝上之實踐,讓立足於當下後現代多元價值環境中的筆者,對影響中國文化甚鉅的「禪」作書法藝術創作研究,透過禪宗思維及其美學特質的理解、書法藝術的歷史發展與美學特質之探討,進而歸納出禪宗思維的書法藝術特質,作為「禪在書藝之實踐」之助力,建構出筆者此篇的創作理念,並藉由創作理念與實踐彼此之間的互動,豐富個人生命之內涵,提升個人藝術創作之水平,並提供觀者一個重新檢視禪學思維及其展現在書法藝術之機會。以下就此論文的基本架構作一簡述:
第一章 緒論-包括了研究動機與目的、名詞釋義、方法與步驟、範圍與限制。
第二章 透過禪宗的歷史探討禪的內涵精神與美學特質,再聚焦於書法藝術的美學特質,進而歸納出禪在書法藝術上所呈現的美感特質。
第三章 綜合上述建構出「禪在書藝上之實踐」之創作理念、內容與形式技法。
第四章 論述「禪在書藝上之實踐」創作作品詮釋。
第五章 結論。
總之,藝術與禪同樣是追求心靈自由的過程,透過禪的理解與生活實踐,運用在筆者的書法創作上,提升筆者生命情感與書法用筆技法的成熟度,進而在筆者書法藝術創作上得以如禪般的解脫自在。

"Zen" is an very important element in Chinese society and culture. It influences many aspects of Chinese people’s thought, behavior, life and so on. There is no exception with traditional form of writing-Chinese Calligraphy art. During the long history of Chinese Calligraphy art, we can see many Chinese Calligraphy art works fused with the spirits of Zen. Seeing these works and with the experiences that I’ve studied Zen theory and practiced Chinese Calligraphy for several years, I intended to combine these two subjects, and apply Zen spirits on my Calligraphy works. With efforts to do so, I wish I could deepen the immanence of my life, enhance the level of my creative works, and also provide an opportunity for the readers to examine the thought of Zen and the relationship between Zen and Chinese Calligraphy art.
The structure of this paper is divided into five chapters. The fist chapter is Introduction. In this chapter, I start by explaining the aims of this paper and the reasons why I choose this topic. Then I will move on to define some important words, elucidate the methodologies, and determine research dimension and restriction.
In the second chapter, I discuss about the immanence, spirits and aesthetics of Zen through the evolution of history of Zen in the beginning. Then I will focus on the characteristics of aesthetics of Chinese Calligraphy. Through this process, I find that there are some common characteristics of aesthetics between the thoughts of Zen and the art of Chinese Calligraphy. And also, we can see these characteristics of aesthetics reveal themselves by the form of Chinese Calligraphy.
After the discussion of Chapter One and Chapter Two, we can get a clearer picture about the ideas of the thought of Zen and the Chinese Calligraphy, and also the relationship between these two. So in Chapter Three, I summarize the content of last two Chapters, and then construct my creation ideas, content, forms and techniques of this paper.
In the next chapter, I would like to illustrate, interpret and analyze my Chinese Calligraphy works. This will lead to a more understanding about how the thoughts of Zen was fused into my works and what kinds of the spirits of Zen was presented in my works. In the final chapter, I will make some conclusions about my paper.
Anyway, both Calligraphy art and Zen are searching for the free of mind. Through understanding Zen, practicing it in my life and Calligraphy art works, I wish I could enhance the maturity of personal affection and techniques of Calligraphy art. Furthermore, I expect that I could escape the limitation of Calligraphy art practicing and create my works in an free style,-just like the spirits of Zen.
