Maitreya belief is an important part of Chinese Buddhism. As a result of historical reason, Maitreya belief appears more complex, compared to other beliefs such as Mituo pure land belief, and the Guanyin belief. This paper starts with the ancient scholars Maitreya belief, and reveals some of the faith unique connotation of Chinese Buddhism Maitreya belief.
