As a successor of Linji Sect, Chan master Chushan-Shaoqi was a famous Buddhism monk in Sichuan in the Ming Dynasty. His preaching and practice keep up to the ideas of Chan school, which proclaims the direct reach to the original pure mind of sentient beings. After the Parinirvana, his body has remained intact for 500 years, which is consistant with the death-transcendence theory of Buddhism. This helps to set up and improve the social image of Buddhism; moreover, it gives the enlightment to the solusions to some modern Bioethics dilemmas, involved in hospice, euthanasia and so on.
