Abstract 元世祖忽必烈至元八年(1271)在大都興建釋迦舍利靈通塔、大聖壽萬安寺,與元成宗鐵穆爾元貞元年(1295)在五臺山修建萬聖祐國寺、大德五年(1301)修建釋迦大塔的內在關聯與政治、宗教意涵向來被研究者所忽略。忽必烈在大都的塔寺興建,與成宗鐵穆爾在五臺山的塔寺興建實際是元初構建"藏—漢"佛教體制意識形態的重要實踐之一。"藏—漢"佛教整合的跨地域、跨種族、跨(民族)文化的佛法體制與多元民族統一的王權系統互相依賴與支持,"藏—漢"佛教體制為多元民族統一國家的世俗統治者提供其統治神聖性和合法化的理論解釋和支撐,多元統一的世俗王權又進一步推動這種"藏—漢"佛教體制的整合與發展,這無疑是中古以來王權與佛法關系模式的進一步演進。
