Abstract | 莫高窟第207窟為回鶻時期重修的洞窟。通過參考相關佛典及圖像,文章認為第207窟南、北壁說法圖的內容均為釋迦佛鹿野苑初說法。對圖像各部分內容進行分析後,可發現這兩鋪初說法圖中的圖像元素不僅與新疆柏孜克里克石窟初說法作品十分相似,還可以從龜茲石窟群追溯至犍陀羅地區同題材作品。第207窟保存了敦煌石窟中目前已知繪制時間最晚的、僅見的通壁初說法圖。第207窟的配置內容也蘊含了大乘與部派思想兼備的佛理。
By investigating relevant Buddhist scriptures and images, this paper concludes that the scenes of Buddha’s preaching on both the north and south walls in Mogao cave 207 depict the scene of the Budddha’s First Sermon. Ananalytical study of the details in the two First Sermon scenes suggests that the iconographical elements are very similar to those in the Bezeklik Grottoes in Xinjiang and can also be traced back to the Gandharan sculptures of the same themes. These two paintings, which occupy the entire side wall of Cave 207 and were renovated during the period of Uighur rule, are the most recent preservation of the First Sermon available and evince a complex iconographical arrangement based on the combination of both Mahayana and sectarian Buddhist thought. |
