| Abstract | 佛陀所處年代，在今之學界仍然是一個熱點和疑難問題，雖然晚近以來在這個問題上取得許多突破，尚遠未定讞。我國古人對此早已有類似認識，北宋贊寧的《大宋僧史略》開篇便考及此題。通過考察現當代中外學界的有關研究可知，目前佛陀所在時代的考證，其間存在百年左右的爭議，尚無徹底解決的辦法。所謂「長系年」和「短系年」二說仍難分軒輊，雖然有學者介紹西方學界主張「短系年」說者較眾，實則該說亦有缺陷，不宜盲從。 |
