| Abstract | 본 논문은 불교 문화권 국가에 속한 연구자의 입장에서 불교학 연구에 있어서 소위 문헌학적 연구라고 불리는 연구방식의 문제점과 전망을 다루고자 한다. 본 논문은 우선 불교 문화권에 근대의 문헌학적 불교학 연구가 도입되면서 미친 긍정적 영향을 살펴보고, 현대의 연구자들에게 일어나고 있는 문헌학적 연구의 문제점에 대해서 지적한다. 그런 문제점에 대해서는 ‘상식에 대한 종속’, ‘모른 척하기의 문제’, ‘엘리트들에 의한 엘리트들의 문화’, ‘거세된 신비주의’, ‘연구자 개인 입장의 반영’, ‘정보의 은폐와 누락’이라는 주제를 통해서 다루었다. 결론에서는 이에 대한 대안으로는 불교학의 연구사 연구의 강조와 신비주의적인 주제를 연구로서 다루기 위한 방법론 개척, 불교학 연구에 있어서 미시사의 개척 등을 제시하였다.
In this paper, I will focus on the problems and prospects of so-called Philological Buddhist Studies from the standpoint of of a Buddhist researcher in a country belonging to traditional Buddhist cultural areas. This paper begins by discussing the positive effects of modern Buddhist studies by early European scholars on traditional Buddhist cultural areas. Secondly, I will critically examine the problems of Buddhist studies based on classical texts caused by modern researchers. The chapter seeks to address the following questions: (1) the subordination of the common sense in current times, (2) the problem of pretending not to know about opposed data, (3) the researches of the elite, by the elite, (4) the emasculated mysticism, (5) the result reflecting the personal position of the researcher, (6) the concealment and the omission of information. Lastly, I will suggest several alternatives. |
