本稿は、『天聖広灯録』巻八「黄檗章」に対する訳注の第二回目である。
本訳注稿は、「黄檗章」全三一段中、機縁話を中心とする前段一三段（前号『花園大学国際禅学研究所論叢』第一四号（二〇一九年）所収）に続く、説法・問答を収録する後段一八段中の、さらに前半部分の四段を対象としている。分量としては、「黄檗章」全体の三分の一程度、後段の約半分にあたる。
