Abstract本文以史料發掘為基礎,探討民國時期上海功德林的興起始末,對比它與寺院齋堂的異同之處,并梳理其興辦的各類佛教活動。功德林是上海紳商居士結合佛教信仰傳統與自身生活方式的產物,為傳統寺院素齋文化向現代都市轉型作出示范,也為紳商居士在尊奉不殺之戒與提升生活品味之間、在追求宗教信仰與階級意趣之間提供了平衡的可能。
