Abstract佛教通過借鑒儒家孝親觀,形成了自己獨具特色的孝親理論。至明末,隨著佛教中國化的完成,佛教孝親理論也已成熟。但是天主教人士卻指出明末佛教孝親理論的不足,並以此攻擊佛教。蓮池大師作文數篇進行反擊,因佛教孝理論與儒家孝親觀存在不可調和的一面,難以達到令人滿意的效果。
