| Abstract | 필자는 「공주 갑사 소조(塑造) 보살입상 복장(腹藏) 유물」 중 1617년 <복장발원문>과 1388년 필사된 <백지묵서 사경(寫經)>에 대한 시론적(試論的) 고찰을 행하였다. <백지묵서 사경>의 경우 『육경합부』 형식의 시원적(始原的) 예에 해당하는 것으로, 그 안에 실린 「표훈대덕(表訓大德)발원문」은 최초 발견된 신라 고승의 저술로 추정되는 것으로 중요 의미를 갖는 것이라 할 수 있다.
필자는 <백지묵서 사경>에 담겨진 의상(義湘)의 「일승법계도」 및 표훈(表訓)의 「표훈대덕발원문」에 대한 고찰을 통해 의상의 「일승법계도」 해석상의 몇몇 문제점을 지적하였다. 한편 「표훈대덕발원문」 분석과 고찰을 통해서는 발원문에 깃든 표훈의 사상적 저변을 추론할 수 있었다.
결과, 표훈의 「표훈대덕발원문」은 형식구조상 ⑴상품상생원(上品蓮華生願)과 ⑵재생보살도원(再生菩薩道願)이라는 두 축이 바탕되어 있음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 내용적 측면에서 「표훈대덕발원문」에는 유가대덕(瑜伽大德)으로서 표훈의 유식학적 견해의 수용과, 의상의 10대 제자이자 동료였던 의적(義寂)과의 관련 속에 습득되었을 정토사상의 수용 양상, 의상계 화엄종파의 일원으로서 수용했으리라 여겨지는 『화엄경』 회향의 정신, 그리고 『법화경』의 서원 등이 발원문에 담겨 있음을 알 수 있었다.
This study set out to investigate the dedicatory prayers text written in 1617 and the manuscript sutra written on white paper in 1388 among the “relics inside the Terracotta Bodhisattva Statue of Gapsa Temple” in Gongju.
The manuscript sutra written on white paper is the first example of “Yukgyeonghapbu(six sutras)” format, and its dedicatory prayers text by Pyohun Daeduk holds important significance as the first discovery of writing by prominent monks during the Silla Dynasty.
The investigator examined Uisang’s “Ilseoungbeopgye-do(Beopseonggye)” and Pyohun’s “Pyohun Daeduk’s dedicatory prayers text” in the manuscript sutra written on white paper and pointed out a few problems with the interpretation of the former and inferring Pyohun’s ideological origin in his dedicatory prayers text from the analysis and review of the latter.
The findings show that Pyohun’s “Pyohun Daeduk’s dedicatory prayers text” was, in terms of formal structure, based on two axes that included ⑴ prayers, birth on lotus and ⑵ prayers, re-birth and going forward to Bodhisattva Path.
In terms of content, the text contained Pyohun’s views and acceptance of Yogācāra ideology as a Yogācāra Ācārya; his acceptance pattern of Pure Land Ideology, which he must have acquired in his relationships with Euijeok, one of Uisang’s ten major pupils and his colleagues; his spirit of merit transference, which he seemed to have accepted as a member of Uisang’s Avatamska sect; and the great wish of “Lotus Sutra.”
