| Abstract | 『八正道経』（大正蔵no. 112，以下本経と略）は安世高の訳経として『僧祐録』などの諸経録に記載され，『内典録・大周録・開元録』の「入蔵録」にも収められている．『八正道経』は前半が経文，後半が注釈となっており，そして前半の内容は『雑阿含経』の第784経とはほぼ対応している．後半の文は安世高によって新たに追加された注釈であると分析できる．こうした経文と注釈という二重の構造から成り立ったテキストは安世高の訳経スタイルの一つになると指摘したい．
本経の内容と文型を考察すると，安世高の訳経によく出た疑問詞の「爲何等（何らとなる）」，そして八正道のそれぞれ定義の内容を収める語の「是名爲（これ名づけて…と為す）」があるから，本経は安世高訳に帰されることが妥当である．また，「諦見・諦念・諦語・諦行・諦受・諦治・諦意・諦定」の八つの用語は大正蔵の中国撰述仏典（1–55巻）には二度と出てこないが，一巻の雑阿含経（大正蔵no. 101）の第27経――『七處三觀經』には「諦見到諦定」（正見から正見まで）という用語が五回も見られる．そのほかに，「三十七品経（三十七道品）」，「不墮貪（むさぼりに落ちない）」，「因緣止（因縁という的による止）」などの用語も安世高に特有の術語に当たると思われる．
以上，本経の内容を外的証拠（external evidence）及び内的証拠（internal evidence）から検討すると，前半の経文も後半の注釈も安世高の訳風を有しているに違いない．しかし，「懸繒」，「燒香」，「散花」，「道品」，「誠信」などの支謙によって使われていた用語も見いだされるので，支謙は本経を一度改訂したと判断されることができる． |
