AbstractLearning is a process to develop children's potential in a positive way. However, there are still few teachers who apply student-centered learning methods and improve student learning outcome. This study aims to improve student learning outcome by using a role-playing learning model on kalyanamitta topic in Buddhist lesson. The research was carried out at SMP Bodhicitta Medan from February to June 2020. The research design is classroom action research. The learning model was carried out in four stages which include planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting on actions. Based on the results of the research, which was carried out during the learning process by noting what happened, it is concluded that on Buddhist lesson, especially kalyanamitta topic, there were 26 students who experienced an increase in learning outcome (exceed the cut score) in cycle I. In cycle II, students who have improved their cut score increased to 34 people. The average student learning outcome in the posttest of cycle I was 70, while in the posttest cycle II, there was an increase in the average learning outcome to 79. Based on these results, most of the students had reached the cut score determined by the school. Thus, learning by using a role-playing learning model can improve student learning outcome

Pembelajaran merupakan suatu proses untuk menumbuhkembangkan potensi anak kearah yang positif.Tetapi faktanya masih sedikit guru yang menggunakan metode-metode pembelajaran yang dapat melibatkan siswa didalam pembelajaran tersebut dan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran role playing pada materi kalyanamitta pendidikan agama Buddha. Penelitian ini dilakukan di sekolah SMP Bodhicitta Medan, dilaksanakan pada bulan februari sampai Juni 2020. Model pembelajaran pada penelitian ini adalah penelitian Tindakan kelas. Model pembelajaran dilakukan dalam empat tahap yang meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan pengamatan (observasi) serta refleksi tindakan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan pada saat proses pembelajaran berlangsung dengan mencatat hal-hal yang terjadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa mata pelajaran pendidikan agama Buddha khususnya materi kalyanamitta pada siklus I terdapat 26 orang siswa yang mengalami peningkatan hasil belajar (mencapai KKM). Pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan menjadi 34 orang telah mencapai KKM. Hasil belajar siswa pada post test siklus I memperoleh nilai rata-rata 70, sedangkan post test siklus II terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar rata-rata menjadi 79. Dari hasil itu sebagian besar siswa telah mencapai KKM sekolah yang ditentukan. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran role playing dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.
