Abstract王船山(1619-1692)的詩論與其哲學思想息息相關,對於宋明理學,其紹繼於張橫渠,而以「氣」論談宇宙生化流行,著重於形而下世界的開展與實踐。自宋代理學興盛,佛學真常心(如來藏)思想蔚為風潮,儒佛交涉頻繁。相對的,佛教另一思想唯識學自宋代以降漸衰,繼承者日寡。直至有明一代,儒佛會通仍以孔孟心性之學與如來藏思想為主。明末清初的王船山,在論詩之中兼敘儒佛,一方面發揚橫渠之學帶入情景關聯之詩論闡發;但另-方面,捨真常心而著眼於唯識之「量」論,並以之作為評詩優劣之判準。這樣的會通及開拓,在思想史的進程上,即是一項饒負興味值得探索的課題;再者,轉化唐代「意境」、宋代「妙悟」等受真常心系影響的觀念論詩,而從有宗唯識「量論」會通情景交融之說,這一轉向在船山哲學、詩學體象的關懷點究竟為何?就佛學觀念運用於中國文學批評,於船山之處所能顯示的意義又有哪些?以下即就相關議題展開討論。
