| Note | 文化部文化資產局局長王壽來：「文化資產局自2007年成立以來，便積極推動保存我國的文化遺產。而為了闡揚世界遺產保護思潮，本局亦努力將聯合國教科文組織對於文化遺產之概念介紹給國人。在此前提，我們規劃了一系列世界遺產叢書。叢書的第一集為「世界遺產公約執行作業指南」（中文版），藉此讓臺灣世界遺產潛力點所在地的縣市政府，能依循世界遺產公約規定，逐步推動世界遺產申登作業。法國東方文化遺址保護聯盟及國立臺北藝術大學舉辦的「2011東方文化遺址保護聯盟國際臺北研討會」，則是針對亞洲許多重要文化遺產如：阿富汗巴米揚大佛、印尼婆羅浮圖，以及若干在數十年前即被指定的世界文化遺產點，從歷史面、管理面等層面進行探討。從本會議中，我們可以瞭解諸多被指定為世界文化遺產的案例，為何具有被指定為世界遺產的價值，以及所在國政府或保護單位如何維護及管理。同時本會議亦就臺灣文化遺產進行討論，將我國文化資產與世界文化資產圈連接起來，因此可說是一場具有重要實質意義的盛會。如今我們決定將在該會議中發表的多篇重要論文結集出版，作為本局世界遺產叢書的第二集。讓更多關心世界文化遺產的朋友們，與我們一同窺探亞洲世界遺產的迷人面貌，並從中得到更多的體悟。」 |

| Abstract | 東方文化遺址保護聯盟（Oriental Cultural Heritage Sites Protection Alliance，簡稱OCHSPA；法文名稱Alliance de Protection du Patrimoine Culturel Asiatique，簡稱APPCA）於2008年在法國巴黎以非營利為目的而籌設的（NGO）非政府民間組織（以下簡稱聯盟），主要關注推動東方相關文化遺址的保護與推展工作。本書即是2011年10月21-22日在國立臺北藝術大學國際會議廳盛大舉辦的國際會議，內容包含南亞及台灣的重要文化遺產的管理、規劃以及價值、意義。 |
