Abstract | Buddhism encourages practices, instead of studying written doctrines. The final goal of lifeand-death is the attainment of Buddha-hood through realization of Buddha-nature, meditation and enlightenment. To manifest the right understanding of Buddhism, the thesis attempts to integrate the Buddhist's practices into the retreat's design. Realization, stroll beneath trees and shadows; Mediation, step on grass and stone; Enlightenment, float in cloud and fog; The Buddhist retreat aims at providing a clam environment for meditation, leading people via sequences of secluded paths veiling in tranquil nature of Tel Tong Tsai, towards enlightenment. |
