Abstract十八世紀的東亞海域諸國，呈現錯綜複雜的互動局勢。向與中國一衣帶水的日本，正從古典學問的復權、和漢‧雅俗的對立，步入融合階段。自十七世紀以隱元隆琦（1592-1673）為首的渡日華僧，為鎖國的日本帶來明朝流行文化後，不僅豐富江戶叢林文學之內涵，而在日刻意培養的門徒，時已成為傳承黃檗家風與中華文化的重要推手。堪稱「振起五山文學頹勢之碩英」的梅莊顯常（1719-1801），法接日本臨濟，在文學造詣上則深受中國黃檗禪的啟迪。本書通過對其生前重新補訂的最後一部詩文集《小雲棲稿》的斠理，希冀能夠映現自隱元禪師東渡近一個世紀以來，日本漢文壇喧嘩繁盛之面容，及明清宗教文化從移植走向共生的具體樣態。
