Abstract元僧虎溪懷則作《天台傳佛心印記》(以下作《記》),賦予「傳佛
心印」此一詞彙與概念天台意義,標榜天台教義與實踐的內容、傳承與
正統性,以與當時流行的禪宗相對抗。《記》在後世的注疏、相關著作
甚多,但中國僅見幽溪傳燈(1554-1628)《天台傳佛心印記註》(以下
作《記註》),其他皆在日本,以靈空光謙(1652-1739)所作為多。懷
則、傳燈、光謙三人針對「傳佛心印」進行論述,傳燈注疏《記》時,
與懷則立場、教義見解不完全相同;光謙注疏《記》時,曾援引《記註》,
同時作有《佛心印記註指謬》,指摘傳燈注疏的問題及有疑慮之處,表
明此一天台意義的詞彙與概念,自元至明,由中國到日本有一發展的過
程。本文擬以懷則《記》、傳燈《記註》、光謙《天台傳佛心印記戔要付
佛心印記註指謬》三部著作為中心,討論傳燈對懷則,光謙對懷則、傳
燈的贊否,以及「傳佛心印」的概念與內容在中國、日本間的開展與異
同。
