Abstract三車喻又名火宅喻,是“法華七喻”中的第一個譬喻,在漢傳佛教的詮釋中有三車家和四車家的分歧。兩家區別在於三車中的牛車與最終的大白牛車是否是一種,本質是對三乘和一乘的理解不同。三車家和四車家並非始於宗派佛學,在宗派佛學產生之前已經有了兩派的分野,早期的三車家有慧觀、僧肇、僧叡、道生、劉虯,四車家有法雲、慧思。法雲是三車到四車的關鍵轉折點,開闢了第四乘的詮釋可能性,慧思在此基礎上用自身修證經驗和如來藏理論,開闢了四車家的第二條路徑。產生四車家的根本原因是權實關係的進一步對立,在此基礎上為一乘賦予了獨立的存在地位和具體內涵。
