| Abstract | 《禮記‧祭義》篇，廣泛闡明祭祀之禮深具社會功能與文化價值。其中更以大量的篇幅詳述祭祖儀式，以突顯「孝」的觀念，做到「不忘」對祖先父母的感恩與敬愛。禮有五經，祭是吉禮，為之首，而祭祖先之禮更為其中最重要者；由此可見祭祖文化受到高度之重視，故深具研究價值。本文首先擬就祭祀祖先的理論內涵，探討人「報本返始」之情懷，即崇德報恩、飲水思源之義。其次，說明祭祖的精神狀態，包括祭祀前之齋戒及祭祀時之誠篤、祭親時之情懷。再來，祭祖的外在表現，包括祭品、禮服及祭祀時之表情動態等，都要有「祭如在」的恭敬心。最後，闡明祭祀的教化意義及作用，可見祭祀的目的無非是在教育世人，藉以顯示奉事鬼神、君臣大義、父子倫理、貴賤等級、親疏關係、爵賞施與、夫婦區別、政事均等、長幼次序、上下相接等「十倫」，極具生命延展與徹通幽明之道。 |
