| Abstract | 소승이 행상을 외부 대상의 표상으로 단순히 이해하는 데 반해, 대승유식은 견분을 행상으로 해석한다. 규기는 견분을 행상으로 보면서 또한 상분을 행상으로 보기도 한다. 견분과 상분은 상관관계에 있기 때문이다. 규기에 따르면, 견분을 행상으로 보는 해석에는 첫째 체상에 대해 작용하는 견분 행상, 둘째 상상에 대해 작용하는 견분 행상, 셋째 행해의 상모로서의 견분 행상을 포함되어 있다. 그는 이 중 가장 본질적 정의인 대상 자체를 지향하는 경우에 무분별지가 진여를 연하는 경우를 포함시킨다. 또 규기는 상분을 행상으로 보는 해석을 다룰 때 영상상분이 견분과 상관관계가 있다는 것을 행해의 상모와 행경의 상상의 면에서 밝히고 있다. 나아가 그는 이 영상상분이 본질의 영상상분임을 보여주기 위해, 즉 대상을 본질인 소소연연으로까지 확장하기 위해 본질이 없는 제8식 및 이와 동시의 심소들의 예를 드는데, 이 예가 그로 하여금 이 심과 심소들의 성격을 상분을 행상으로 보는 해석에 포괄할 수 있는 길을 찾게 한다. 규기는 『유가사지론』의 “소연은 동일하고 행상은 동일하지 않다”와 『성유식론』의 “소연은 상사하고 행상은 각각 다르다”를 다섯 단계를 밟아가며 통합하면서, 최종 단계의 해석에서 『유가사지론』의 ‘동일한 소연’은 무분별지가 연하는 진여로 보고, 『성유식론』의 ‘상사한 소연’은 제6식이 연하는 본질이 없는 대상으로 본다. 그러면서 상분을 행상으로 보는 해석을 확장하기 위해서는 견분 행상으로 시선을 돌려야 한다는 것을 암시하고 있다. 이렇게 해서, 식의 지향성을 의미하는 행상이 이 행상을 포섭하는 주체의 기능성을 의미하는 행상으로 변모하게 된다.
Mahāyāna yogācāra buddhism interprets ākāra as the part of the seeing[見分], while Hināyāna buddhism simply understands ākāra as the representation of the external object. Kuiji, as a member of Chinese yogācāra buddhist school, interprets the part of the seeing as ākāra, and at the same time interprets the seen[상분] as ākāra. It's because both the seeing and the seen are correlative. According to Kuiji, the interpretation of the seeing as ākāra involves three kinds of definitions: the first is the seeing ākāra of acting toward the object itself, the second is that of acting toward the defining meaning, and the last is that of the act-character. The case of the undiscriminating knowledge is made to be involved in the most essential defintion of acting toward the object itself. Kuiji elucidates the seen is correlated with the seeing, when he deals with the interpretation of the seen as ākāra. In order to demonstrate the seen is founded on the preconstituted objectivity, in other words, in order to extend the scope of the objectivity, he takes an example of the eighth consciousness and its concurrent acts, which are those of lacking the preconstituted objectivity, and this example makes him look for the way to involve the nature of them in the interpretation of the seen as ākāra. Kuiji regards ‘the identical object’ of Yogācārya-bhūmi[瑜伽師地論] as suchness[眞如], and ‘the similar object’ of Vijñaptimātratāsiddhi-śāstra(Cheng wei shi lun)[成唯識論] as the object of lacking the preconstituted objectivity, which is perceived by the sixth consciousness, integrating the meaning of the sentence “the object is identical and the ākāra is not identical” from the former and that of the sentence “the object is similar and each ākāra is different” from the latter at the last stage of interpretation, and he manages to solve this problem. And then he suggests that we need to turn our eyes into the seeing ākāra. In this way the ākāra that denotes the intentionality of the consciousness is transformed into the funtionality of the subject.
