| Abstract | 西方凈土與人間凈土的統一與互補是20世紀以來漢傳佛教的重要主題。往生西方凈土與建設人間凈土是永惺一生自行化他的雙重使命，是其佛教思想與實踐的集中體現。在永惺看來，建設人間凈土是漢傳佛教適應現代社會的必然趨勢，往生西方凈土是末法時代最為契機的法門；大乘佛教的菩提道是西方凈土與人間凈土的共同基礎；人間凈土的建設是往生西方凈土的重要資糧，念佛法門是實現人間凈土的重要途徑。永惺所創建的西方寺不僅是香港著名的凈宗道場，也是弘揚人間佛教的中心。
Unity and complementarity of Western Pure Land and pure land on earth has been an important issue in Chinese Buddhism since the beginning of 20th century. Rebirth in the Pure Land and building pure land on earth were Ven Yongxing’s dual mission in his life as well as his Buddhist idea and practice. Ven Yongxing deems that building pure land on earth should be Buddhist adaptation to modern society, and that rebirth in Western Pure Land should be the best religious practice in Dharma ending age. |
