Abstract＜正文＞佛教寺院,是安置佛像、經卷,供僧眾居住,以便修行、弘法的場所,是佛教文化中最具代表性的構成元素之一。佛寺建筑是佛教精神最直觀的表現,是弘揚佛教文化最重要的載體之一。一印度最早的寺院是佛陀在世時設置的各種精舍。佛教典籍《大智度論》《大毗婆沙論》對此有明確的記載。
