Atop this mountain lies the majestic Lotus Light Palace, filled with the light of wisdom. This book compiles various visions of the pure land of Znagdok Palri as depicted in exquisite wall paintings from ancient historic temples in Bhutan, thankas from private collections ,and various spiritual texts. The book features an in-depth explanation of Zangdok Palri by the prolific writer and celebrated scholar of Tibetan Buddhism, Tulku Thondup. Dungchen Sangaj Dorji, a leading BHutanese historian, provides a detailed study of Zangdok Palri's wall painting and thangkas in Bhutan. Furthermroe the book takes readers on a photographic journey through the sacred sites of Gurut Rinpoche in Bhutan, accompanied by a spiritual guide written by the brilliant Buddhist scholar, Lama Kunzang Tengye. The rich texts are complemented by over 400 awe-inspiring photographs in 5-color plates.
