Abstract：公元5、6世紀,江南地區彌勒下生信仰盛行,供奉彌勒下生像的龍華寺興起,龍華會亦風靡一時。現存南朝時期的彌勒造像在江南地區見于浙江新昌寶相寺摩崖龕像和江蘇南京棲霞山石窟,四川地區有茂縣比丘玄嵩造像碑和成都西安路比丘法海造像。南朝東陽傅大士曾以彌勒應身現世,吸引信眾,并首創轉輪經藏。
