Abstract"茶事"逐漸上升為"參禪"本身,與佛教的智慧、覺悟等相連,具有了宗教的神圣性和精神性等內在的因素,"禪茶"成為了一種當之無愧的中國化的佛教修行方式。近日,習近平主席在致信祝賀首個"國際茶日"中提到"茶起源于中國,盛行于世界……中國愿同各方一道深化茶文化的交融互鑒。"在發源于中國的茶及茶文化盛行于世界的過程中,佛教起到了重要的推動作用。由于佛教的參與,尤其是佛教禪茶的形成,為原本單純具有生物意義上生津止渴、緩解疲勞、提神益思的"物質之茶",賦予了人文情趣、禮儀規制和凈心修身的意義,塑造了"精神之茶",使中國的茶文化享譽世界。
