Abstract“心”這個概念在儒、釋、道理論中一直都居于重要的位置，是三教共有的公約數。在王陽明三教合一思想中，他把“心”作為三教“統成一間”“共為一廳”的邏輯前提。在這個邏輯前提下，天地萬物是一個整體，三教都是其中一隅。較之以往的三教合一論，王陽明以一個更圓融、整全的立場，從本體上認定三教同根同源，將三教原有的理論涵蓋于其中，從而消解三教矛盾、對立之藩籬，使三教合而為一，即三教歸心。
