Abstract宗教對話是宗教會通的先決條件,藉著彼此間的對話,不但可以減少誤解,並可因「同情的瞭解」,客觀而正確的明白對方的主張,進而尋求會通之處。基督宗教與佛教是東西方兩大宗教和思想體系,其義理中,負面思想的「罪」和「無明」代表著各自宗教理論的中心概念。在基督宗教中,人因為有「罪」,所以需要耶穌的救贖,藉著洗禮的儀式,洗去人的原罪和本罪。在佛教中,眾生本具「無明」,無始以來即因不覺而習染求幻,於六道中受苦,但憑著內因的真如本心的薰習,加上外緣佛菩薩護持,遂能去染還淨,解脫輪迴。因此,無論就定義、內涵、性質、去除的方法,「罪」和「無明」皆存在著相同和相異之處,而能成為基督宗教和佛教會通之中心課題。
