Abstract | The article focuses on how Buddhism has taken a stand despite its outdated traditional cultural form. Buddhism is a way of life primarily designed to help oneself and others become better ones. According to Xingyun from Taiwan, the purpose of the religion is to set people free from the miseries and aims at helping social development by promoting human interests.
