AbstractThe classical books of korea buddhism names generically the literature of Korean Buddhism that includes the Korea Bulgyo Chonso and The Korean alphabet Buddhist Sutras. The compilation of buddhism scripture is actively advanced, but the effort that digitalize the Korea Bulgyo Chonso or the Korean archive has been not enough. However, the digitalizing of the culture heritage are worldwide trend. Consequently, the objects of this research are to store the 13th and 14th volume of the Korea Bulgyo Chonso at the database, to develop a retrieval engine for efficiently revising this database and to supply a retrieval service through the internet web. To expand the object, we manufacture and supply the CD-title that is the retrieval system that is able to search the database in varied environment. We need three techniques for attaining the object. The first techniques inputs and edits the Korean Buddhism classical books in computers and The second technique stores it in the database. Lastly, it is to develop the interface and retrieval engine that search the database within the internet web and the offline environment.
The retrieval system can induce to activate the digitalization of the archive, to promote the management of the culture heritage by using digital library, and to develop the synthetic digitalization technique for the culture heritage.
