| Abstract | 天臺宗是佛教體系中最具哲學深度和思辨水準的佛教宗派,引導著中國佛教走向了精湛與成熟,歷史上曾長期在江浙佛教中占據主導地位。本文力圖以百科全書辭條的體例,通過宗名、宗史、宗典、宗義四要素的切入,扼要勾畫出天臺宗的基本脈絡和特征,從而對這座“代表中華佛教圓熟境界”的巍峨巔峰作一全面的鳥瞰。
