| Abstract | 基督教和佛教之於中國 ,同為外來的宗教文化 ,它們在中國的傳播又都有著漫長的歷史 ,而二者在中國傳播的命運卻相去甚遠 :佛教融入中國文化 ,並與儒、道兩家一起共同構成了中國傳統文化的主流 ;而基督教卻一直未能徹底融入中國文化 ,至今仍處于中國文化的異己地位。究其原因 ,系由它們各自作為一種宗教文化原所屬的地域與中國有著不同的地緣關系、在中國採取的是不同的傳播策略、在中國傳播的時機不同 ,以及它們不同的處世觀所致
Although both of them are alien religious cultures and equally enjoy long spreading histories in China, Christianity and Buddhism have had quite different fates in Chinese culture:totally merging in Chinese culture,Buddhism,together with Confucianism and Taoism,helps to shape Chinese mainstream culture,while Christianity has never been successful in merging itself organically into Chinese culture,still remaining a little marginal to Chinese mainstream culture even today.This paper argues that the reasons lie, compare with Buddhism,in the different culture - topgraphical features of Christianity as a religious culture especially as relevant to Chinese cultural - topgraphical, its different spreading strategy,the different spreading chances it happened to have and its different world view. |
