Chinese proverbs run a long course from a remote source.Every proverb has its own history. It is a vital task to search the source and to inquire into historical background for each of them.In addition to our culture, there are many other cultures which influence Chinese proverbs:Buddhism, for example.Chinese Buddhist sutras serve as a link between Buddhist culture and Chinese culture. There are three forms of proverbs which were originated from Chinese Buddhist sutras——an original shape of Chinese Buddhist sutra,a form extracted form Chinese Buddhist sutra,an improved variety. As these proverbs have enriched Chinese vocabulary they have influenced Chinese innate synonyms.
