| Abstract | 日本據臺初期，非官方和官方組織了一系列以佛教為中心的宗教調查。這些調查涉及日本佛教在臺的布教、臺灣寺廟僧侶、臺灣原有習俗信仰、臺灣佛教歷史發展等。在調查的基礎上，日據當局形成了其初期的宗教政策，即對來臺的日本佛教加以有限的控制和限制，對臺灣舊有宗教實行有限的「放任主義」，是其「舊慣溫存」政治統治政策的體現。日據初期的宗教政策，確立了日據當局對臺灣宗教發展的統轄地位，影響了臺灣傳統佛教的發展方向，開拓了日本佛教以後在臺灣的發展空間。
At the beginning of Japan’s governance, the official and unofficial organized a series of buddhism investigating in Taiwan.These investigatings include the preaching by Japanese monk in Taiwan, the Taiwan’s monk and temple, the former custom in Taiwan, the history of the Taiwan Buddhism’s development. At the base of the research, the colonial government made its religious policy: limiting the Japanese Buddhism’development in Taiwan, adopting limited noninterference to Taiwan’s religion. This religious policy, established colonial government the position of governing the Taiwan religious, influenced the developing direction of the Taiwan Buddhism, expansioned the developing space of the Japanese Buddhism. |
