Abstract一九一五年,日本在臺灣殖民已有廿年之久,社會趨于安定。但就在這時,臺南市西來庵的在家佛教徒發起反日暴動,結果一千九百五十七人被捕,八百六十六人被判處死刑(後來一部分改判無期徒刑)。史稱“西來庵事件”。
