Abstract討論佛教倫理與和諧社會這一主題，前提是承認“佛教倫理”這一概念的成立。承認“佛教倫理”，並不意味著要將佛教的信仰和其倫理道德的內容分離開來，以道德代佛教，使其成為和信仰無關的“道德佛教”。本文從對佛教倫理的根本精神的認識角度探討其與和諧社會建設的關系。慈悲是佛教的根本精神，從佛教倫理的角度看，也是佛教倫理的根本精神，有必要首先明確這一精神，在此基礎上進一步思考如何將其貢獻于和諧社會的建設。
