| Abstract | 以「緣起論」為基礎的佛教，其邏輯的結果必然是「無神論」而不可能是「有神論」，但是普通的輿論總是誤認佛教是「有神論」或「多神教」，這中間透露出佛教極端的複雜性。一方面，佛教中確實是有各種各樣神的存在，但這些神都只是佛的教化對象，而不是人的崇拜對象，其地位與各類眾生是一樣的。在佛教的語境中，我們不必崇拜神就像我們不必崇拜其他五道凡俗眾生(阿修羅、人、畜牲、餓鬼、地獄)一樣。另一方面，佛、菩薩、羅漢等佛教形象更不是神，而是覺悟了的人，因而寺廟裡的佛像、菩薩像、羅漢像也只是紀念像或寓意象像，根本就不是什麼有法術神力的迷信偶像。 |
